Personal: Color Manila Run 2015

This is my first time to join Color Manila Run and this is my first fun run for year 2015.

That day is what we really called a FUN RUN, fun running with my friends while enjoying the different color powder throw to us and taking pictures in every color stations. This is the fun run that we have more stops for picture taking. But before the fun run started, they have a mini program hosted by Sam YG. And one of the highlight of that program is the warm up exercise for the runners to be prepared for the run. I’m with my office mates and we’re all in the same category, 10 Kilometers. When the run started, there is a water tank at the side and someone managing the host to throw water to all runners, I think the main purpose of that is for the runners to get wet so that the colored powder will adhere. The total distance where you will experienced the throwing of colored powder is 6 kilometers and the 4 kilometers is just a normal route (first 3 kilometers, then after 4 kilometers you will go back to the same spot where you will experienced throwing of colored powder for another 3 kilometers). There are a total of five colored powder that they throw to runners, (blue, green, orange, pink, purple and yellow). At the first station, they throw blue powder, then next station they throw green powder, then orange powder, then pink powder, then purple powder and at the last station they throw yellow powder.

We are all very happy that day because of what we've experienced. After we've finished 10 Kilometers, they give us the Color Manila Run 2015 medal, one pocket of colored powder that we used in the party that day with cool sounds while partying under the sun and that was so cool when you see each runners throwing their free pocket colored powder thrown up in the air (you will see different colors). Before I forgot, the registration fee for this fun run event is 850 pesos which includes singlet, shades and what we've get after we finished the run which I mentioned above.

Then after participating in the mini party of the fun run event, we've decided to go without cleaning our faces and not changing our clothes, this means that all colors still on our face and on our clothes. Because the fun run was so tiring and we have to feed our stomach, we decided to go and eat at Pancake House near in our office at Mckinley Hill Fort Bonifacio Taguig City, you will ask why we have to go to back in our office?, because we left our things in our office before we go to the fun run event.

We ordered their group meal supreme that consist of, Classic Pancakes, Carbonara, Caesar Salad, Pork Vienna and also ice tea.

For me, I really like the Pork Vienna and its sauce when combined it tastes good but I forgot the name of the sauce but it tasted sour with minced tomato. For the Carbonara, I also like the taste although the pasta was overcooked but still the taste was good. For the Caesar Salad, it was also good and I really like the taste of bacon bits and Parmesan cheese. For the classic pancake, it was ok and nothing special it was same taste ask what we've tasted in other fast food chain.

Classic Pancakes
Pork Vienna
Caesar Salad
Carbonara
Thanks to Rahnee and Cheska for the photos.

  6. It was a really fun experience, isn't it? Too bad I didn't get to bump at you during the event. Hehe. It was actually funny how some avoided the water tank, how would the powder stick to them? Then they were complaining on the first powder why it wasn't staining their shirts. Lol.

We also ate in Pancake house! Now I wonder if I saw you there. Haha! Anyway, it was I think the only diner open after the event (because it was still early).

  12. I was at Color Manila Run too doing the 10K distance. I ended up still clean as I had to do a fast one as I'm training for a marathon and I can't afford to slouch on a race.
