Eat like a Viking, Experienced Vikings Luxury Buffet

A Feast from the Sea (Vikings SM BF)

I feel like I am a Viking with a lot of food choices to eat from different kind of cuisine all over the world. This is my first time here and I enjoyed all the food that I have tasted. I've tried different buffet restaurant and this one, I was amazed of their different kinds of drinks that I did not see in other buffet restaurants. One of my favorite drink is the fresh tamarind juice, I drink 3 glasses of it and some known drinks that available are juices like iced tea, four seasons, lemon grass infused tea, strawberry mango, apple cinnamon, mint tea lemon-lime, honeydew agus fresca and a lot more, they also have coffee, wine, milo shake, coffee shake, soft drinks, sago’t gulaman which is better also and alkaline water. Vikings also offered a create your own pasta, you choose what pasta to use, ingredients and sauces and they will cook it for you. What else? They also offered puto bumbong and bibingka, if you want to experience seafood paluto, Vikings can do that for you with their seafood selection display in their buffet. Wants more? They have a different selection of meat grilled, steak and fried like turkey, ribs, chicken, beef, lamb and pork. Do you want more? They offered different types of shabu shabu as well - seafood, beef, and pork. And they have continuous promos like discounts and birthday treats.

The place was also big that can accommodate around 350 pax, they have a separate dining area for those who likes shabu shabu, upon entering you will see a nice centerpiece with a set of their appetizers. The ambiance was cool and comfortable dining sets. They have a separate lines for walk-in, reservation (you can call also, you will find contacts below) and for those who like to inquire. Because Vikings SM BF is one of new branch of Vikings, they offer 20% for all residents, employees and students of ParaƱaque and they also have promos for Big Group like if 22-32 pax will get 2 pax free, 33-43 pax will get 3 pax free, 44-54 pax will get 4 pax free and so on in this sequence.

Centerpiece

Because of many food selections, you can’t eat all of them. So, what I did is I tried the food that is new to my eyes or looks appetizing. The first set are waldorf salad, caprese, watermelon serecho, devilled eggs, tuna ceviche and gaeran mari sets. From this set of the meal, what I like the most is waldorf salad, a new to me and I like to taste a combination of sour and sweet.

Second set are roast duck, slow cooked beef ribs, forty cloves roasted chicken and mashed potato with wild mushroom sauce, what I like the most is slow cooked beef ribs which is new to me also, the beef was tendered and the sauce was also good that compliments to the beef ribs and the other one is the wild mushroom sauce that was so good.

The third set are baked lasagna, barbecue, black mamba pizza, carbonara pizza and bread with melted cheese inside. From this set of the meal what I like the most and new to me is the carbonara pizza, just think your carbonara pasta turn to pizza.

The fourth set are Sous Vide U.S beef, Spit Barbeque Leg of Lamb and turkey. From this set of the meal what I like the most is the Spit Barbeque Leg of Lamb, the lamb was tendered with the sweetness of its sauce that makes the taste well.

Sixth set are different kinds of sushi (spicy salmon roll, dynamite roll, Vikings roll, tempura maki and tracie salmon roll), those are my favorites that is way I make sure I eat sushi especially the one with salmon.

And my last set of the meal are desserts, blueberry panna cotta, mango cheesecake, chocolate parfait, cassava cake, cream puff and chocolate truffle. I like the taste of chocolate truffle it was good and the chocolates melt in your mouth.

Fresh Tamarind
If I will rate my overall experienced in Vikings SM BF from 1 to 9, my rate is 8. The food that I've tasted was good and also the cool ambiance of the restaurant. I would be 9 if they make their desserts like panna cotta, cheesecake, and parfait a little bit soft when you scoop the cream. :)

  5. My family and I do not eat a lot so we do not go to buffets. Not worth the price. I have been to Vikings, but I did not exactly enjoy eating there. I felt the food was so-so only for the price paid.

  14. The is the most enormous buffet I have ever seen! I don't think I can ever finish tasting or sampling them in one round. Split it into 3 times perhaps? Definitely something that should come to Singapore. It will be a waste of food though, if it's not finished at the end of the day.
