Market Basket

Market Basket
Modern Dampa “Paluto”

Anyone knows "Paluto" or "Dampa"? Both food words was commonly used when you bought fresh seafood from the wet market and ask owner of the restaurant to cook the seafood the way you want it, like steam, fried, buttered, grilled or with soup.

But did you know that there is a paluto or dampa restaurant in the Metro that serve fresh seafood available within their restaurant and no need to go and buy from wet market because they have a mini wet market. The name of the restaurant is Market Basket at Festival Mall Alabang in River Park.

They also served steak meal, salad, pasta, noodles, drinks, cocktail and desserts. But because we want fresh seafood from their mini wet market. We've ordered buttered shrimp, tempura and the crab rice. For our drinks, we ordered one pitcher of ice tea and got one bottomless ice tea just to try their cool glass.

Buttered Shrimp - 350 Pesos
Crab Fat Boy Choy Rice - 225 Pesos
Tempura - 280.50 Pesos
Tempura - 280.50 Pesos
Bottomless Ice Tea - 85 Pesos

The food was good, we enjoyed the good taste of the crab fat bok choy rice, tempura was one of the common dish but because of the dip the taste was so different to other restaurant and it was good and even the buttered shrimp that make so different taste because of garlic on top.

The place looks clean, ambiance was cool and nice and they have dining sets in two floors and outside the restaurant. We went to Market Basket on weekdays and we don't expect of too many customer but there are many and there was also an event that day happening in their second floor, so only the 1st floor and outside the restaurant is available for the customer.

If I will rate the place, food and price I will give 9 for the food, 9 for the place and 9 for the price. Better to order your food that are good for sharing, probably minimum of 3 persons to share the food and the bill.  :)
